The interior gets new color accents and a larger standard touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Ford added a feature that utilizes the rear camera to line up with a trailer to aid trailer hitching. All-wheel drive is now available with the hybrid powertrain, and max towing capacity increases to 4000 pounds when equipped with the Tow package.
For safety, new driver assistance features like lane centering, evasive steering assist, and road edge detection join the roster of standard and available features. The latest Ford Co-Pilot360 system provides a comprehensive suite of modern driving aids.
Who's It For?
That's the beauty of the Maverick. It's not the powerful brute you'd expect from Ford, and it has the fuel savings to show for it. The Maverick solves the problem of drivers who want a truck, but don't want to give up the daily practicality of a smaller vehicle. With up to 4,000 pounds of towing capacity and capable trims like the Tremor® and Lobo, the Maverick fits many lifestyles. It's small enough to drive on city streets and powerful enough to get most jobs done for your average driver. The Maverick makes practicality interesting.
Real World Performance
The standard hybrid engine is a 2.5-liter that delivers up to 191 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. When paired with the available all-wheel drive, this powerplant offers driving confidence in spades and still achieves excellent fuel economy. Drivers who want a more exciting experience can opt for the 2.0-liter EcoBoost Engine, which produces up to 238 horsepower. When paired with the Tremor® or FX4® Off-Road Package, the Maverick unlocks excellent off-road capability too.
The 2025 Ford Maverick can tow 4,000 pounds with the available tow package and has a maximum payload of up to 1,500 pounds. These capacities make it perfect for your average driver, who rarely needs more than that for a small camper, boat, or motorcycle. Towing technologies like Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and Pro Trailer Backup Assist make towing easier than ever.
